In an important step taken by the RBI in the interest of borrowers, banks will provide a compensation of Rs 5000 per day for non-return of house papers.

RBI issued instructions to all banks and financial institutions on the complaint of borrowers. After full repayment of the loan, the original documents related to the movable or immovable property must be returned to the respective lender within 30 days.
