New Delhi:

Ahead of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav’s birthday, activists put up posters in Patna in support of him. It may be noted that earlier on Thursday, Nitish Kumar had said that the Congress is busy with assembly elections in five states and India does not seem very keen to take the alliance forward. Addressing the Communist Party of India (CPI) ‘Remove BJP, Save the Country’ rally in Patna, Nitish Kumar said that yes, we have formed an alliance but the work of strengthening it is not being actively done yet. Elections are to be held. In five states. It seems that the Congress party is busy with this. We were all working together to strengthen the Congress party and take it forward, but they don’t seem that keen.

However, he stressed that the alliance would continue to fight for the country. The alliance meetings will resume after the completion of elections in five states. Earlier, reports claimed that the JDU may field Nitish Kumar as its prime ministerial candidate from the Bharat Alliance. However, Nitish Kumar denied these claims and said that he has no ambition to be the PM’s face. Let us tell you that the India Alliance has not yet announced its candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
