India vs Sri Lanka Mahesh Thikshan: Sri Lankan spinner Mahesh Thikshana is doubtful for the Asia Cup final against India due to a muscle strain. The severity of Tikshana’s injury will be known after the scan. Tikshana strained his right hamstring (leg muscle) while fielding during Sri Lanka’s two-wicket win over Pakistan on Thursday. “Mahesh Thikshana has strained his right hamstring. He will undergo a scan to fully assess the player’s condition,” Sri Lanka Cricket posted on ‘X’ on Thursday.

In this match, Tikshana was seen limping and going off the field several times during Sri Lanka’s bowling. Despite the injury, he completed a nine-over spell in the 42-over match. He walked off the field in the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings with the help of other team members. Tikshana’s injury has added to Sri Lanka’s woes as already key players like Wanindu Hasranga, Dushmantha Chamira, Lahiru Madushanka and Lahiru Kumara are out of the squad due to injuries. The Sri Lankan team will face India in the final on Sunday.
