An Indian-origin student in Australia was left in a coma after the attack. According to media reports, a suspect has been detained and charged with assault. The student injured in the attack has not been identified and is in his 20s. He is studying for a master’s degree at the University of Tasmania. The Sydney-based Special Broadcasting Service said the incident happened on November 5 at a complex in Tasmania and the victim suffered ‘extradural bleeding’, which affected his brain.
