Indian student P Varun Raj, who was injured in a knife attack in the US state of Indiana, has died (Indian Student Death In US). This information is provided by Valparaiso University. Varun, a resident of Telangana’s Khammam, was stabbed at a gym over the weekend, after which his condition remained critical. P Varun Raj was kept on life support system for the past several days. Varun, a computer science student at Valparaiso University, was stabbed in the head with a knife by Jordan Andrade in the gym on October 29. The case is under investigation.

The private university in Valparaiso, near Chicago, issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Varun Raj’s passing. Our campus community has lost one of our own. At this sad time, our condolences and prayers go out to Varun’s family and friends.” We do. The university has said that Varun’s family is going through a difficult time, they are in constant touch with them and will provide all possible help.
Varun’s studies were to be completed next year
The university has planned to pay tribute to Varun on November 16. Varun was pursuing MS in Computer Science, the university said. He came to America in August 2022. His course was to be completed next year. Anil Baleboyan, Varun’s cousin, told ABC7 Chicago that his condition has not improved since the incident. Only one part of his body was moving. He was being treated at a hospital in Fort Wayne.
‘Varun came to study in US with many dreams’
Varun’s brother Anil Baleboyan said that he came to Indiana about a year and a half ago hoping to get a better education. Referring to the family’s condition, he said that it was very difficult for him, as no parent would expect their child to be in such a condition. Varun came to America to study with the dream of supporting his family financially and emotionally. After the attack on Varun, the police arrested the attacker. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
