The Israeli military has accused Hamas of using Gaza hospitals to carry out attacks. However, Hamas has denied these allegations.
A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces posted two videos on Twitter in which he alleged that Hamas had evidence of Gaza’s Shifa Hospital being used for “terrorist activity”.
The IDF said, “Both terrorists were involved in a brutal massacre in southern Israel on October 7. It should be noted that the IDF and ISA have shared more information on the subject with Western officials.” The ISA is Israel’s internal security agency.
In the video, a Hamas figure can allegedly be heard saying, “For example, Shifa has an underground level. Shifa is not small. It is a big place, which can be used to hide things.”
This alleged Hamas man is also heard saying that he hides in clinics, schools, hospitals and other such places to avoid being targeted by Israel.

The health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza said the Israeli attack killed 7,703 people, mostly civilians, including more than 3,500 children.
UN human rights chief Volker Turk warned of the “potentially devastating consequences of a large-scale ground operation in Gaza” that “thousands more civilians” could die.
