Srinagar:
Indian Army has killed 2 terrorists in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. These terrorists were trying to infiltrate the Indian border. Security forces have seized weapons and ammunition from the terrorists. The entire area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.

Kashmir Police confirmed the incident on social media platform X. Kashmir Police wrote – “Indian Army has foiled a major infiltration in Uri. Operation is going on now. In this operation to stop the infiltration in Uri, there are reports that many terrorists have been injured from Pakistan.”

Actually during winter season due to snowfall and low visibility terrorists try to infiltrate from Pakistan. However, Indian troops remain vigilant on the border even in these difficult situations and thwart such infiltrations.
Earlier in October too, security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Uri sector in a joint operation. Meanwhile, security forces killed two terrorists. After killing the terrorists, the army has seized 2 AK series rifles, 6 pistols and 4 Chinese hand grenades from the spot.
