Some changes in JEE exam

NTA Revised JEE Main 2024 Fee and Syllabus: NTA has JEE Application process for Mains 2024 i.e. Joint Entrance Examination has been started. Engineering aspirants can apply online for JEE exam from the official website till 30th November. At the same time, NTA has also announced the exam dates of both the sessions of JEE Main 2024. JEE Main first session exam is going to start in January and second session exam is going to start in April. The first session of JEE Main 2024 is scheduled to be held on January 24 and February 1, 2024, while the next second session will be held between April 1 and April 15. NTA has announced some changes in JEE exam along with JEE schedule. Let us tell you that students will see many changes in next year’s JEE Main 2024 exam. This change has been made in the JEE website address as well as its syllabus.

JEE website address changed

Registration with DigiLocker
During JEE Main 2024 registration, the candidate has to create DigiLocker account through NAD Portal or Academic Bank of Credit ID (ABC ID). Candidates who do not want to register through DigiLocker/ABC ID have to inform the examination center one hour before the admission time on the day of examination. Candidates also have to use their passport number, PAN card number or Aadhaar registration number to register for JEE Main.
Now JEE exam will not be conducted in these cities
Last year, the JEE Main 2023 exam was conducted in 304 cities across the country, which has been reduced by the NTA. This time JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in 300 cities.
JEE syllabus changed
The syllabus of JEE Main 2024 has also been revised this year. While some chapters have been completely removed from this year’s JEE Main syllabus, some sub-topics have also been removed.
NTA has announced the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2024 candidates, if they have less than 75 percent in 12th, they will not be able to appear for the exam.
JEE Main Application Fee
NTN has made several changes in JEE Main 2024 exam including JEE Main application fee. The agency has also reduced the JEE Main 2024 application fee. Last year, male candidates belonging to General, General-EWS and OBC (NCL) categories paid an application fee of Rs. 1,000 had to be paid. Under this category women candidates had to pay Rs 800. This time NTA has reduced General-EWS and OBC NCL application fee for male (Male) candidates. JEE Main 2024 application fee for male candidates of General-EWS and OBC NCL category is Rs 900.
