Washington:
A security guard deployed to protect US President Joe Biden’s granddaughter opened fire during an attempt to break into an unknown vehicle on a Washington street. The United States Secret Service gave this information on Monday. However, it was not immediately clear if 29-year-old Naomi Biden was present in or around the Georgetown area at the time of the incident.

“On November 12, at approximately 11:58 p.m…., Secret Service agents observed three individuals break the window of a parked and unoccupied government vehicle,” Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Presidential Protective Services Agency, said in a statement posted on Twitter. “
“During this encounter, a federal agent fired a service weapon, but it is not believed that anyone was injured,” he said, adding that the suspects fled the scene and there was no threat to any safe persons.
American media reported that the car is part of Naomi Biden’s security detail.
