Australia’s David Warner holds the record for the fastest 1000 runs in the World Cup. He achieved this feat in 10 innings while the greats Sachin Tendulkar and AB de Villiers completed 1000 runs in the World Cup by playing 20 innings. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly and West Indies legend Vivian Richards did this after playing 21 innings.
