New Delhi. The third and final ODI of the 3-match series between India and South Africa will be played today i.e. Thursday (December 21) at Boland Park in Paarl. After winning the first match, the Indian team had to face defeat in the second ODI. Currently the 3-match series is tied at 1-1. Team India will want to win this match and win the series. If KL Rahul manages to win the ODI series, he will join the exclusive club of the great Virat Kohli. India have won the ODI series only once in South Africa so far. India played its first ODI series in South Africa in 1992–93. Since then, India have played six ODI series at home against South Africa, of which Team India has won only one series. South Africa has won 5 ODI series. KL Rahul will also want to settle the score of the previous defeat. Rahul captained Team India for the first time in the ODI series on the tour of South Africa. Under Rahul’s captaincy, India lost the ODI series 0–3 on the tour of South Africa in 2021/22.
