New Delhi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed KL Rahul as the vice-captain of Team India in the middle of the World Cup 2023 (ICC Cricket World Cup). Hardik Pandya is out of the rest of the World Cup due to injury. In such a situation, the Indian board has assigned this responsibility to KL Rahul instead of Pandya.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed Hardik Pandya’s exclusion from the World Cup on Saturday morning. Before the World Cup, Hardik Pandya was made vice-captain by the BCCI. Due to injury, Pandya could not play many matches in the World Cup. He injured his ankle in the match against Bangladesh. Now he is out of the entire tournament. BCCI’s Senior Selection Committee has approved the name of KL Rahul as Rohit Sharma’s deputy.
