Washington: A video of former Barack Obama administration adviser Stuart Seldowitz is going viral on social media, in which he is seen abusing Islamophobic slurs at a shopper in New York. According to The Hill, he is calling a shopkeeper (street vendor) a terrorist and also making anti-Palestinian remarks.
In a video shared on the social media platform, Seldowitz also said, “The deaths of 4,000 Palestinian children are not enough. A student of Columbia University shared this footage on Instagram. Since then, another video of Seldowitz making the same comment has gone viral.
Stuart Seldowitz was Deputy Director of the US State Department’s Office of Israeli and Palestinian Affairs from 1999 to 2003.

Following the incident, D.C.-based lobbying firm Gotham Government Relations reportedly cut ties with the former Obama administration adviser. “Gotham Government Relations has terminated all ties with Stuart Seldowitz,” the lobbying firm said Tuesday. According to the firm, Seldowitz has not contributed any work in years. Gotham Government Relations condemned Seldowitz’s comments as “racist”. He said that this behavior is disgusting, racist and against the dignity and norms of our generation.
According to his Gotham Government Relations bio, Seldowitz served as acting director for the National Security Council South Asia Directorate under the Obama administration. He was also Deputy Director at the US State Department’s Office of Israeli and Palestinian Affairs from 1999 to 2003. He was appointed by the lobbying firm last year as its external affairs chair.
