Mumbai Indians Global Head of Cricket Mehla Jayawardene spoke about the team’s decision regarding Rohit Sharma. He has admitted that the decision to remove Rohit Sharma from the captaincy was a difficult one. Jayawardene gave the example of Sachin Tendulkar explaining that he also played in the IPL with young players. He continued about Rohit Sharma’s role in the team, “It’s very important for us to have Ro (Rohit Sharma) on and off the field to guide the next generation. He’s absolutely fantastic.
