The ex-husband of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife filed a case against the couple on Saturday accusing them of bigamy, media reports said. During the hearing of the case, Khawar Maneka also recorded a statement under Section 200 (Investigation of the Complainant) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, in which he reiterated his claim that Imran Khan had ruined his marriage. Earlier this week, Khawar Maneka blamed Imran Khan for ruining his married life before marrying Bushra Bibi. In her complaint, Khawar Maneka appealed to the court to issue summons to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and give strict punishment as per law. He said PTI chief Imran Khan often spent hours visiting his house in his absence “under the guise of spiritual treatment”, which was not only unethical. He alleged that Imran was calling Bushra Bibi even late at night. He also gave her a separate phone number and mobile phone to talk to Bushra.
Khawar Maneka told the court that he divorced Bushra Bibi on 14 November 2017. Khawar said that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi committed a heinous crime and got married on 1 January 2018.
