New Delhi. Nana Patekar is in the limelight these days because of his upcoming film ‘The Vaccine War’. The trailer of the film has been released today and the film is going to hit the theaters on September 28. A few days before the trailer of the Vivek Agnihotri-directed film was released, Akshay Kumar shared the teaser of the film ‘Welcome 3’ on his birthday to give fans a good news.
On one hand, ‘Welcome 3’ has a star studded gathering. While the lead actors of this film Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are missing from this upcoming film. The iconic pairing of ‘Udaybhai’ and ‘Majnu’ from ‘Welcome’ has been replaced by ‘Circuit’ and ‘Munna’ from ‘Munnabhai’. The teaser of ‘Welcome 3’ has seen not one or two but an entire army of new actors.
‘Welcome 3’ has many stars including Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi. During the promotions of ‘The Vaccine War’, when Nana Patekar was questioned about being dropped from the sequel of his own superhit film, the actor expressed his pain.
‘Maybe I’m too old…’-
He says, “Maybe I’m too old and an old actor and that’s why they didn’t choose me for ‘Welcome 3’. Maybe the makers of ‘The Vaccine War’ don’t feel that way about me and that’s why they cast me in it. It’s that simple.”
Nana Patekar is returning to the screen after five years with ‘The Vaccine War’. Before this he was last seen as a villain in the film ‘Kaala’. Rajinikanth was the hero opposite her in this film.
Let us tell you that after actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of inappropriate behavior, Nana Patekar’s work in films has reduced. Now this actor is seen only in one or two films.
