Talking to Ranveer Allahabadia, Neena Gupta said, “I want to say that it is not necessary to believe in ‘crack feminism’ or ‘women are equal to men’. Instead focus on achieving financial independence. If you are a housewife. So don’t underestimate it. It’s an important role. Build up your self-esteem and avoid underestimating yourself. This is the main message I want to convey. Apart from this, men and women are not equal. The day men start getting pregnant, We will be equal.”
Nina shared an incident from her life to emphasize her point.
Giving an example from her life, Nina continued, “You need a man. I will tell a small story. Once I had to catch a 6 am flight. I didn’t have a boyfriend at that time. It was dark when I came out of the house at 4 am. A man started following me and I got very scared. I went back home and missed my flight. Next day I booked the same flight. But I stayed at my male friend’s house and he left me.”
