New Education Policy 2020: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur to launch one year PG course. The organization has started preparations for this. This course can be conducted under the syllabus structure of one year PG course designed under the new education policy. In which only students who have done UG course of four years will be able to do PG in one year. After the syllabus structure of this course has been approved by the University Grants Commission, NIT Jamshedpur has also started preparations to implement it. By starting this course students will get a chance to do PG in one year and also save their time. Interestingly, along with the one-year PG course, a five-year integrated UG-PG course can also be integrated under the curriculum framework designed by the UGC.
An NIT official said that suggestions have been sought from institutes in this regard after the framework has been prepared by the UGC. As soon as this is implemented, students will get a lot of convenience. The good thing will be that the two-year PG course will also be continued now. Nothing has been officially said about this by NIT Jamshedpur, but NIT Jamshedpur has shared information in this regard on the institute’s official social media platform X. Probably from the next session this one year PG course will be implemented in NIT Jamshedpur under the new education policy.
It is to be noted that B.Tech studies have been started in NIT Jamshedpur under the new education policy from this year and multiple entry-exit system has been implemented under this. Now exit system will be implemented in two year PG courses as well. In two-year PG, students will be awarded PG Diploma Certificate on passing the course in one year.
