OpenAI’s ousted CEO Sam Altman and former president Greg Brockman joined executives at the company’s San Francisco headquarters on Sunday. Interim CEO Meera Muratti told employees that she had invited Altman. Reuters reported on Sunday that Altman is discussing a possible return to the company behind the ChatGPT bot, while also looking to launch a new AI venture. The company’s board fired Altman on Friday.

Reuters reported OpenAI declined to comment to Reuters on the details of The Information’s report. Altman posted a photo of himself wearing an OpenAI guest badge on messaging platform X on Sunday with the caption: “First and last time I wear one of these.” Altman’s firing angered current and former employees and left them worried about how the sudden management shakeup might affect the upcoming $86 billion in stock sales.
According to The Information Report, Brockman, former president and co-founder of OpenAI, also reached the office on Sunday. Brockman resigned as chairman of the board as part of a management shakeup and announced his departure from the company on Friday.
