Breach of Parliament security: Increase in police custody of accused

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Thursday extended the police custody of four accused arrested in the Parliament security breach case till January 5. Special Judge Hardeep Kaur extended the custody of accused Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde and Neelam Devi for 15 days on a plea filed by the city police. That means all these accused will remain in police custody till January 5.

Delhi Police told the court that Neelam, Manoranjan, Sagar, Amol will have to be taken to many places for investigation. The true motive is not yet known. Social media accounts of the accused are checked by special people. Evidence also has to be cross-verified. Psycho analysis of the four accused will also be done.

Delhi Police told the court that the whole conspiracy has to be traced and who is behind this conspiracy. The investigation is still going on. Let us tell you that on December 13, the anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on Parliament, a major security lapse came to light when Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the House from the audience gallery during the proceedings of the Lok Sabha. And while chanting slogans, they emit yellow smoke through the ‘cane’. Both were caught immediately after the incident.

Shortly after the incident, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, who were protesting outside Parliament House with ‘bamboos’ emitting yellow and red smoke, were arrested. These people raised slogans like ‘Dictatorship will not work’ and some other slogans. Meanwhile, more accused were arrested after investigation.
