The way has been cleared to launch an app-based premium bus service in Delhi. The notification regarding the premium bus service has been released after the approval of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. App based premium bus service is Arvind Kejriwal’s ambitious plan. Under this, luxury buses will be run, which will have all modern facilities like AC, Wi-Fi, GPS, panic button.

No license fee will be charged on electric buses, so that electric buses can be promoted. The license holder can also decide the route and fare as per his choice, but the fare will have to be displayed on the app, so that the passenger is aware.
Fare can be collected from passengers only through digital means.
Dynamic pricing will be allowed, i.e. the licensee will be able to increase or decrease the fare as per his convenience. But cannot be less than the maximum fare of DTC. Fare can be collected from passengers only through digital means.
Only those who have booked in advance will be allowed to travel. Physical tickets will not be issued. Once the licensee has taken the passenger’s booking, the journey cannot be canceled except in case of force majeure.
