After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, questions were raised about his relationship with filmmaker Sandeep Singh. When questioned by the investigating agency, he revealed that he was very close to the late actor. He was trolled a lot on social media. These days Sandeep is busy promoting his film ‘Safeed’. He revealed that after Sushant’s death many people came who offered him money to make a film on the actor’s life but he was unwilling.
People were targeted
Sandeep says people don’t realize what happened to his family, friends and close ones. Talking to Times of India, Sandeep said about making a film on Sushant’s life, ‘Absolutely not. I think people should rest his soul. I will never make a film on his life. People offered me a lot of money for this. They do not realize what has happened to their family, friends and relatives. I did not see SSRians (fans of the actor) at the funeral. He had not been there before, neither at his house, nor at the hospital.
Sushant’s family did not support
‘I was standing there alone. People should have stood with me but they made it an issue. People were targeting me and others for popularity on social media. The saddest part was that his family never came to support me. If he had made a statement my life would have changed but he made me struggle again.
Media disturbed by the trial
Sandeep further said, ‘This year is my fresh start. A journalist left a voice message to Murray and said, Sandeep ji, your work here is done. Now you go back to the village or you will go to jail. People will spit in your face. I still have that voice note. I was going through a very bad phase. Media stood outside my building for 6 months.
After the statement of Sushant’s family, the CBI questioned Sandeep. The actor passed away on 14 June 2020.
