The Indian women’s cricket team defeated the Australian women’s team by eight wickets in a Test match for the first time on Sunday. After the match was over, a wonderful sight was seen on the field. Australia Women’s Cricket Team captain Alyssa Healy was seen capturing India’s historic victory on camera and took a photo of the Indian team celebrating with the trophy, the video of which was shared by Australia Women’s Cricket Team’s X account.
Seeing the Indian women’s team celebrating with the trophy, Alyssa Healy picked up a camera and started taking pictures. A video of him taking a photograph is being liked by fans on social media. On the last day of the match, India performed brilliantly both with bat and ball. The Indian bowlers took the Australian’s five wickets for 28 in the morning, which allowed the visitors to bundle out for 261 in the second innings.
India got a target of 75 runs which they achieved by scoring 75 runs for two wickets in the 19th over. Opener Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten scoring 38 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues was also unbeaten scoring 12 runs. The Indian women’s team was playing more than one Test in a season on home soil for the first time since 1995 and the team managed to dominate the entire match against Australia.
Earlier, India defeated the England women’s team by a huge margin of 347 runs in the only Test played at the DY Patil Stadium. This was the biggest win by any team against England in terms of runs in Test cricket. This is India’s first win against Australia in 11 Tests.
