Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 37th National Games at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Margo, Goa on Thursday. On this occasion, PM Modi said that the government has tripled the expenditure on sports in the last 9 years. Apart from this, PM Modi reiterated that India is fully prepared to host the Olympics in the year 2036. PM Modi also mentioned many big works of his government in last 30 to 35 days.
There is no dearth of sports talent in the country
Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said, “National Games are being inaugurated at a time when Indian sports are scaling new heights.” Apart from this, PM Modi said that there is no dearth of sports talent in India. The country has produced many new champions in sports. Let us tell you that the National Games will be organized in Goa from October 26 to November 9.
In which more than 1 lakh players will participate
Let us tell you that more than 1 lakh players from all over the country are participating in this event. The games include a total of 43 games which will be organized at 28 different venues. On the occasion, PM Modi also discussed the Women’s Reservation Bill, successful completion of the Gaganyaan mission and Operation Ajay Udan to bring back Indian nationals stranded in Israel.
