Voting will be held for 119 Assembly seats in Telangana (Telangana Assembly Election 2023) on Thursday (November 30). Voting (Telangana Voting) will be held from 7 am to 6 pm. 35655 polling stations have been set up for voting. More than 3 crore 26 lakh voters will exercise their franchise. A total of 2290 candidates are in the fray in the Telangana elections. The BRS is keen to continue its winning streak that began in 2014, while the Congress too is struggling to retain power. At the same time, the BJP wants to leave no stone unturned to enter this southern state.

Important information regarding the case:

  1. Voting will be held on Thursday from 7 am to 5 pm in 106 constituencies of Telangana and from 7 am to 4 pm in 13 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected constituencies.

  2. 2,290 candidates are in the fray in the election, in which Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, his Minister-son KT Rama Rao, State Congress President A. Revanth Reddy and BJP’s Lok Sabha member B. Sanjay Kumar and D Arvind included.

  3. In Telangana, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi has fielded its candidates on all 119 seats. According to the seat sharing agreement, BJP is contesting on 111 seats. The remaining 8 seats have been left for Jana Sena led by actor Pawan Kalyan.

  4. Congress has given one seat to its ally Communist Party of India (BKP). Congress itself is contesting on 118 seats.

  5. Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has fielded its candidates on 9 seats in Hyderabad city.

  6. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying his luck on two constituencies, Gajvel and Kamreddy. He represents Gajavel in the outgoing assembly.

  7. Kamareddy and Gajvel are witnessing an exciting competition. Congress has fielded its state president Revanth Reddy for the Chief Ministerial election in Kamreddy. Along with this, BJP candidate Venkat Raman Reddy is also considered strong.

  8. BJP has fielded its election campaign chief Itala Rajendra against Chief Minister Rao in Gajvel. Lok Sabha member Revanth Reddy is also contesting from Kodangal, which he has represented earlier.

  9. Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj has said that more than 2.5 lakh employees have been put on duty for the assembly elections. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.

  10. For the first time in Telangana, people with disabilities and voters above 80 years of age will get the facility to vote at home. The Election Commission has ordered all private organizations, including IT companies, to declare a holiday on November 30.
