New Delhi. The 26th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between Pakistan and South Africa (PAK vs SA) saw a heated atmosphere between the players. Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and South Africa’s fast bowler Marco Janssen were seen clashing with each other. The situation escalated to such an extent that Pakistan captain Babar Azam and the field umpire had to intervene. Pakistan and South Africa face each other on Friday at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

In the seventh over of Pakistan’s innings, Proteas team’s fast bowler Marco Janssen dismissed opener Imam-ul-Haq on the third ball. After Imam’s dismissal, Mohammad Rizwan came to the crease. Rizwan escaped Jansen’s first delivery. Rizwan tries to play a full length ball straight with the bat, which Jansen misses to catch. The next ball hit the thick edge of Rizwan’s bat and went straight to third man outside the boundary for a four. After this Jansen lost his temper and got into a fight with Rizwan. After this Babar Azam and the umpire calmed down the matter after seeing the situation escalate.

Mohammad Rizwan scored 31 runs off 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and one six in this match. He was caught out by fast bowler Gerald Coetzee to wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock.

Babar Azam was dismissed after scoring 50 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan did not start well and lost 5 wickets for 141 including the wickets of Rizwan, Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafiq and Imam ul Haq. Babar scored 50 runs in 65 balls which included 4 fours and 1 six.
