New Delhi. Angelo Mathews was given time out in a match of World Cup 2023. Due to which the players of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka came face to face. The situation escalated to such an extent that the players of both the teams did not even shake hands after the match. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said after the match that the appeal was within the rules. There is nothing wrong with this situation. Mathews said that after the appeal, Shakib no longer deserves the honour. Indian cricketer R Ashwin has now said that he has taken Shakib’s side in this whole matter. Ashwin has also been criticized for manhandling during the IPL. Ashwin dismissed the English batsman Jos Buttler in a mankading manner.

R Ashwin has made a big revelation about this year’s Test match against Australia on his YouTube channel. He said that as a night watchman during the Nagpur Test, I was late in entering the crease in the last over. If Australia had appealed, I would have been dismissed. The umpire told him about this. Ashwin said that Australia did not appeal. This explains the difference between rules and sports.
