The Indian team will play New Zealand in Dharamshala on Sunday, October 22 in the ICC ODI World Cup. Both the teams are currently on a winning streak and have won four matches in a row. The Indian team will face New Zealand without star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. He was injured in the match against Bangladesh. Team India coach Rahul Dravid answered the question of who will be in the playing eleven instead of Hardik.
Coach Dravid replied on Hardik
Team India coach answered questions from the media ahead of the World Cup match against New Zealand. Regarding the all-rounder, he said that Hardik Pandya is an important player in our team. His all-round game creates balance in the team. He will not play against New Zealand, now it will be seen how to balance the playing eleven. We will decide before the match as per the situation which player will be included in his place.
Dravid gave a big signal
While talking about Hardik, coach Dravid discussed Shardul Thakur and said, Look, I would not like to go into too much depth about whether Shardul Thakur plays as an all-rounder in the team or not. He has the knack of taking wickets, though he hasn’t got a chance to bat so far. After the absence of Hardik Pandya, the team combination will have to be looked at. We want to go with three fast bowlers and two spinners.
