During the shooting of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Dinky’, director Rajkumar Hirani was resting completely by closing his eyes and ears. While recounting the shooting of the film starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani, Rajkumar Hirani revealed how he used to use an eye mask and ear plugs while giving shots to Shah Rukh Khan. Rajkumar Hirani also explained the reason for doing so.
Hirani used to sit with his eyes and ears closed
Director Rajkumar Hirani, who gave superhit films like ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘3 Idiots’, said in a conversation with News18 that Shah Rukh Khan Working with him was a big deal for him. He said he was mesmerized by Shah Rukh Khan’s charm and sat wearing an eye mask and ear plugs while he gave the shots.
The assistant was saying that the scene is over
Rajkumar Hirani said that when Shahrukh Khan gave the shot, his assistant used to tell him that the scene is shot and now you can open your eyes. Rajkumar Hirani trusted Shah Rukh Khan’s art so much that he was relaxed during the shoot, as he was confident that as long as Shah Rukh was on set, the shot would not go wrong.
Why did this collaboration take so long?
Rajkumar Hirani also explained why it took him so long to film with Shah Rukh Khan. Hirani said that when he was studying at a film institute, he decided that he would make a film with Shah Rukh Khan. But it took 2 years for him to pass out from the institution and by then Shah Rukh Khan had become a superstar. So I had to wait 20 years to work with him.
