New Delhi. Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha is going to take place on 22 January 2024. Preparations for the program are going on vigorously. Many celebrities are also going to participate in this grand event. The event will be attended by many veteran actors from Bollywood and South film industry, who have been invited. TV’s Ram-Sita i.e. Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhlia have also been specially invited for the event, but Sunil Laheri, who plays ‘Lakshman’ in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, is not on the guest list.

Who can forget the telecast of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana on Doordarshan. Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhalia played the roles of Ram and Sita in the show. While Sunil Lahiri played the character of ‘Laxman’ in this show. Invitations have been sent to Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhalia for the event to be held on 22 January 2024, but TV’s ‘Laxman’ has not received an invitation.
In an interview given to ‘ETimes’, Sunil Lahiri said that he did not receive an invitation for Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha. He said that if one has planned a function, it is not necessary for him to call every time. He also said that he would have loved to have had the opportunity to be a part of a moment recorded in history.
Sunil Lahiri said that the organizers might not have felt that his ‘Lakshman’ character was important enough to invite him or maybe they didn’t like him personally. Sunil is also surprised that none of the crew of the show Ramayana was invited for the event.
