Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ is releasing only on select screens but is still doing well. Even after all these weeks, the audience is coming to watch the film. ‘Animal’ has broken the records of many big films of this year in terms of earnings. However, several scenes of the film were criticized on social media. Director Sandeep Reddy Wanga revealed that there was only one thing Ranbir Kapoor didn’t like and he refused.
What thing did Ranbir dislike?
Ranbir and Sandeep have worked together for the first time. Ranveer gave many bold scenes with Tripti Dimri in ‘Animal’. In a recent interview, Sandeep said that the actor did not object to any scene or dialogue but to the ‘superstar’ tag attached to his name in the film’s title credits.
‘He’s a superstar’
In an interview with Komal Nahata, Sandeep said, “He didn’t like it at all. I was going to put the ‘superstar’ tag in the audio teaser. He saw it and said, ‘No, take it out. They do that. In the South but here at no. ‘ I told him, Ranbir, this is my feeling. For these three years we worked together and this was the only thing Ranbir refused to do. He never said anything. When the poster came, I told him, I am going. If Even if you say no to him, keep him. I have a feeling he’s a superstar.”
‘So much craze for just one star’
Sandeep continued, ‘I have seen his films in Hyderabad and I have seen the audience cheering for him. I think only one star can be welcomed. I felt this way for no reason. You can’t explain why some things happen. I thought I should give him the superstar tag. No one asked me why we gave him this tag. It’s not on social media. If you want to watch it, you have to pay at the counter (theater) and watch it. He doesn’t even advertise much, that’s why he’s a star.
