Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal’ is being discussed a lot these days. He is busy promoting the film before its release. Looking at the advance booking figures, it seems that the film will have a bumper opening. The film is based on the complex relationship between father and son, a glimpse of which was seen in the trailer. At an event held in Hyderabad, Ranbir remembered his father Rishi Kapoor and regretted not being able to be friends with him.
Regret not being able to be friends with father
The entire team of ‘Animal’ attended the event. On this occasion, Ranbir said on Rishi Kapoor, ‘I lost my father a few years ago. I think anyone who loses a parent always feels like they never spent enough time with them.’
He continues, ‘My father was very busy when I was growing up. He was shooting most of the time, staying out during double shifts and triple shifts. We have always looked at him with great love and respect but we don’t really have a very friendly relationship. We couldn’t just sit and talk and one thing I will always regret in my life is not being able to be friends with my father. I wish I could talk to her more. I always live with this regret.
Credit given to director
On the characters of ‘Animal’, Ranbir said, ‘As a viewer you will get emotionally attached to whoever you see. You will say this happened to me. As an actor, I felt this a lot when I was doing these scenes. I think a lot of credit for this film goes to only one person and that is SRV (Sandeep Reddy Vanga).
‘Animal’ is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. It will hit theaters on December 1.
