Roaring Indian Lions on Day 1 of Centurion Test, Rabada’s ‘claws’ give jaw-dropping reply

New Delhi. The first match of the two-match Test series between India and South Africa at Centurion began on Boxing Day on 26 December. The host team captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bowl. Experienced fast bowler Kagiso Rabada shook the Indian batting by taking 5 wickets. An Indian batsman faced this bowling bravely and by the end of the first day’s play, he scored 70 runs and took the score past 200 runs.

The Indian cricket team made a strong comeback after a poor start on the first day of Boxing Day against South Africa, thanks to KL Rahul’s powerful fifty. After losing 5 wickets for 107 runs, the team made a comeback and scored 208 runs for 8 until the match was stopped due to rain. 59 overs were bowled in the first day’s play in which the veteran batsmen of Team India flopped badly.

Rabada took 5 wickets
After losing the toss, veteran fast bowler Kagiso Rabada gave a huge blow to the Indian team who came to bat first. First of all, the account of wickets was opened by dismissing captain Rohit Sharma for just 5 runs. Then when the pair of Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli were pushing the score forward, both were given return tickets. Iyer was bowled on 31 runs and Kohli was caught behind the wicket on 38 runs. The veteran completed his 5-wicket haul with the wickets of R Ashwin and Shardur Thakur. Along with this, Rabada also touched the mark of 500 wickets in international cricket.

Correct answer by KL Rahul
On the one hand, Kagiso Rabada attacked vigorously and took all the big wickets for India, on the other hand, KL Rahul scored a huge fifty. Rabada’s 5-wicket celebration was marred by a crucial partnership with first Shardul Thakur and then Jasprit Bumrah at the bottom of the order.

The first day’s play could not be played completely due to rain. India scored 208 runs for 8 wickets in 59 overs. KL Rahul was playing after facing 105 balls and scored 70 runs with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Mohammad Siraj was supporting him at the other end. India crossed the 200-run mark in the first day’s play and now KL will be looking to take the score to 250 on the second day.
