14238 students of the state will now have their applications canceled due to not providing the biometric proof that applied for the scholarship. This information was sent by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (Government of India) to the District Minority Welfare Department and by the Department to all District Education Offices on October 3.
Let us tell you that the minority students had to apply online at the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the National Scholarship. Biometric evidence was sought along with the application. When checked, hundreds of students in the state did not provide biometric proof with the application. He was given time till September 26 to rectify.
Biometric authentication system to prevent fake applications:
Sometimes fake applications are also made to apply for scholarships. Many fake students are caught every year. Keeping this in mind, this time a rule has been made to provide biometric proof. The application of the concerned student will be accepted on the portal only after biometric proof. As for the state, the applications of 1705 students of Nalanda district will be cancelled. Second is Katihar (1637) followed by Bhagalpur (1310). 729 students are included from Patna district.
