New Delhi. A mini auction was held in Dubai ahead of the new season of Indian Premier League 2024. All 10 teams participating in the tournament bid heavily on their favorite player and got him. In this auction, the team bid heavily on the uncapped players. Delhi Capitals invested money on a youngster who created history in domestic cricket with his explosive innings.
Delhi Capitals, considered the young team of the Indian Premier League, have once again expressed their faith in new talent. After making Rishabh Pant the captain of the team, the team management has not left him even in difficult times. He was present at the table with Sourav Ganguly at the upcoming IPL auction in Dubai on Tuesday.

Delhi Capitals, captained by Pant, have bet on the young talent from Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s stronghold Jharkhand. Wicketkeeper batsman Kumar Kushagra participated in the auction with a base price of Rs 20 lakh and Delhi included him in their squad for a whopping sum of Rs 7 crore 20 lakh.
A history made at the age of 18
Kumar Kushagre played an innings of 250 runs in the Ranji Trophy at the age of just 18 while playing for Jharkhand. By doing so against Nagaland in 2022, he became the youngest batsman to score 250 runs in the tournament’s history. He scored a total of 111 runs in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
