Many athletes from Surguja district have made the entire Surguja proud by winning gold medals at the national level. District basketball player Pragya Mishra is going to participate in the national sports competition to be held in Ludhiana, Punjab today, playing with Chhattisgarh team.
The 11th match will be held in Ludhiana
Basketball player Pragya Mishra said that so far she has played 10 national and one international. Has played for India in Australia. Currently going to Ludhiana, Punjab to play the 11th match. She is the only player from Surguja district, who is going to play at the national level. The program will be held in Ludhiana from 3rd December to 10th December.

Basketball player Pragya Mishra said that she has been learning from coach Rajesh Pratap Singh for 8 years. Along with this, the family also gets full support. In the early days the father was not willing, but now he also gets full support. So far he has won 5 golds and one silver in the 10th National Games. Coach Rajesh Pratap Singh said that he is very happy when the children he has taught go on to play at the national level and win.
