SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2023-2024: Applications for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 will start tomorrow from 24th November 2023. The official notification of GD Constable Recruitment will also be released tomorrow on the official website ssc.nic.in. According to the report, more than 70 thousand posts may remain vacant this time. Through this recruitment, thousands of vacancies of GD Constable in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Riflemen in Assam Rifles will be filled. The last date for application is fixed on December 28.

1. Eligibility – 10th pass youth can apply for constable recruitment.
2. Age limit will be 18 years to 23 years. The maximum age limit will be relaxed by three years for OBC and five years for SC ST category.
3. How will selection be made?
First there will be a written exam (computer based). Successful candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). PET PST Clearers will be called for Medical and Document Verification. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination. PET PST will be only qualifying. Only passing PET and PST will be required.
4. GD Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 will be held on 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 February and 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 March, 2024.
5. Pattern of Written Examination
If the exam pattern of GD Constable Recruitment Exam remains same as last time, the paper will be of one hour duration. Only 80 questions will be asked in the paper. The written exam will ask questions related to General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi subjects. 20 questions each will be asked from all four sections. All sections will be of 40 marks each.
6. There will be negative marking. Half marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
7. Physical Qualification Rules (PST)

Male candidates – 170 cm.
Female Candidates – 157 cm.
Chest – Male Candidates – 80 cm. (Extended – 85 cm)
8. Physical Performance Test (PET – Physical Test)
Male candidates have to run 5 km in 24 minutes. Apart from this you also have to run 1.6 km in 6 and a half minutes.
Female candidates have to run 800 meters in 4 minutes. Apart from this you also have to run 1.6 km in 8 and a half minutes.
9. Final Merit
The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination of the PET/PST passers. PET PST will be only qualifying.
10. The examination will be conducted in 13 languages
The examination for recruitment to the post of Constable GD in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will now be conducted in 13 regional languages apart from Hindi and English. With this decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs, lakhs of candidates appearing for the GD Constable recruitment exam will be able to take the exam in their mother tongue. This will increase their chances of selection.
