Stock market disappointment: Sensex falls below 64000 and Nifty below 19000, Adani Group shares all fall.

The Indian stock market is down for the sixth consecutive day. Today, the stock market opened with a big drop. Bombay Stock Exchange BSE’s 30-share benchmark index Sensex opened down 274 points at 63774. At the same time, the day’s business started at the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 level of 19027. Sensex fell 431 points to 63617 in early trade. On the other hand, Nifty was trading down 138 points to 18983 level.

Tech Mahindra was among the Nifty’s top losers today with a decline of around 3 percent. Hindanco saw a decline of 2.05 percent. Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finserv were also among the top losers, falling between 1.32 percent and 1.69 percent. Amidst these declines, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, HCL Tech and ICICI Bank were among the Nifty’s top gainers.

All 10 shares of Adani Group were in the red at the start of trading. The biggest decline was 3.37 percent in NDTV. Adani Enterprises fell 2.33 percent to Rs. 2204 happened. Adani Power lost 1.90 percent. It was trading at Rs 306.75.

Adani Wilmar fell 2.36 percent to Rs. 312.80 and Adani Port declined by 1.48 percent to Rs. was trading at 757.75. Adani Total Gas fell 2.51 percent to Rs. 536.65. Adani Energy Solutions, ACC and Ambuja Cement were also among the losers.
