Stock markets down in early trade, Sensex-Nifty trading in the red

Stock Market Updates: Stock markets will be closed tomorrow i.e. 14th November due to Diwali Balipratipada.

Stock markets open: Domestic markets fell in early trade on Monday amid a weak trend in Asian markets and withdrawal of foreign funds. The 30-share Sensex of BSE fell 318.75 points to 64,940.70 in early trade. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty fell 82.8 points to 19,442.75.

Among Sensex companies today, shares of Bajaj Finance, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Nestlé, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Asian Paints remained in losses. On the other hand, shares of NTPC, IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma and Power Grid were in profit.

As for other Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in losses. While Japan’s Nikkei remained in profit. On Friday, American markets closed with a positive trend.

Stock markets were open for one hour yesterday i.e. 12th November on the occasion of Diwali in Muhurta Trading Session (Diwali Muhurta Trading 2023). This session also marks the beginning of a new era. Trade at ‘muhurta’ or auspicious times is believed to bring prosperity to the stakeholders. The Hindu calendar year begins with Diwali, which is called Samvat.

Major stock indices Sensex and Nifty closed with gains of more than per cent in the Diwali muhurta trading session on Sunday. In the first trading session of Samvat 2080, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 354.77 points, or 0.55 percent, to close at 65,259.45. The NSE Nifty closed up 100.20 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 19,525.55.

During this period, the investor’s assets amounted to Rs. There has been an increase of more than 2 lakh crores. According to stock market data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) on Sunday invested Rs. 190.06 crore shares were sold.
