The stock market continues to decline. Today i.e. Wednesday, Nifty has lost around 150 points while Sensex has lost around 500 points. After this decline Nifty has fallen below 19200 while Sensex has touched 64000 level.
Domestic stock markets fell sharply last Monday amid weaker trends in global markets due to rising tensions in West Asia. The decline led to benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty down around 1.3 percent.
Crude oil prices above $90 per barrel also affected business sentiment, according to analysts. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex closed down a whopping 825.74 points or 1.26 percent at 64,571.88 points. At one point during trading, it was down 894.94 points, or 1.36 percent, at 64,502.68 points.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed down 260.90 points, or 1.34 per cent, at 19,281.75 points.
