After Diwali, the stock market had a bad start. Bombay Stock Exchange BSE’s 30-share benchmark Sensex opened 101 points lower at 65158 today. While Nifty of National Stock Exchange today started the day at the level of 194866.
The Sensex fell 256 points to 64994 in early trade. Except for NTPC, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharma, all Sensex stocks were trading in the red. On the other hand, the Nifty was down 73 points at 19452. Despite this decline, stocks like Eicher Motors, Coal India, NTPC, Hindalco and BPCL were among the top gainers on the Nifty. While SBI Life, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, ONGC and Tata Consumer were the top losers.
