Stuck in the legs… So how did Maxwell score a double century, told the truth

New Delhi. Glenn Maxwell made history by scoring a double century in the ICC Cricket World Cup despite having a stiff leg. He played an unbeaten innings of 201 off 128 balls to bring Australia out of trouble and give them a memorable victory. With this win, Australia has entered the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2023. After winning the match, Maxwell revealed how he played a world record innings in adverse conditions. Maxwell was adjudged Player of the Match for his match winning innings.

Glenn Maxwell said, ‘It was very hot when I was fielding today. I could not exercise much because of the heat. The heat got the better of me today. I wanted to stay at the crease today to get some movement in my legs. Even though 7 wickets fell for 91 runs, I wasn’t thinking too much about it. I wanted to stick to my batting plan as much as possible.
