Sunil Shetty in a recent interview to ANI said that in 2022 some trolls on social media started boycotting many big films like Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadha even before their release. At that time, the trend of boycotting Bollywood started. Due to which Bollywood had to bear a lot of loss. Sunil said, ‘I think it was just a bad phase, a movement that came and went. At that time, a lot of things were happening in the industry at once and ‘#BoycottBollywood’ was a viral trend, a big movement that was further damaging what was already happening in our industry at that time.
Sunil remembered his meeting with Yogi Adityanath
Sunil also recalled his meeting with Yogi Adityanath in the same interview. Referring to his meeting with Yogi Adityanath, he said, ‘When I spoke to Yogi Adityanath ji, I was honest. The first thing I told him was, ‘Even God is being criticized, we are human.’ He took it very positively. After this Sunil said where have those people gone who were creating ruckus at that time.
