Meanwhile, Putin invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Russia next year. After meeting S Jaishankar in the Kremlin, Putin held a joint press conference in which he commented on the ongoing war with Ukraine, saying, “I have repeatedly informed about the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.” “Our trade is growing at a more credible pace for the second year in a row,” Putin said. The growth rate this year was also higher than last year. Not only oil products and coal production, we are also working with India in high-tech sectors.

Putin said, ‘We are very happy to note that despite the current upheavals in the world, relations with our traditional friends in Asia, India and the Indian people, are steadily progressing. We know the attitude of Prime Minister Modi regarding the ongoing war with Ukraine. I am talking about their situation, hot spots, their attitude to complex processes, including the situation in Ukraine. I have repeatedly informed him about the situation surrounding the Ukraine conflict. I am aware of their efforts to resolve this issue through peaceful means.

Putin said, ‘We will be happy to see our friend Prime Minister Modi in Russia. We will have an opportunity to discuss current issues and talk about the prospects for the development of Russia-India relations. I realize that India’s domestic political calendar is busy next year. General Elections for the Parliament are going to be held in India. We wish success to our friends in India. We believe that we will maintain our traditional friendly relations in any alignment of political forces.
