PM Kisan New: The 15th installment of PM Kisan will reach the farmers’ accounts after two days i.e. on 15th November. PM Narendra Modi himself will directly transfer an installment of Rs 2000 to the accounts of 8 crore farmers. This is a setback for four crore beneficiaries out of 12 crore farmers registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Barring ineligible candidates, the government in four installments (including the 15th) has released about Rs. 46 thousand crores saved.
Out of the last 14 installments in April-July 2022-23, a maximum of 11 crore 27 lakh 90 thousand 289 farmers got the benefit of the scheme. After this, the central and state governments started tightening their grip on the beneficiaries who were availing fake or wrongful benefits of the scheme.

Due to the austerity, the number of beneficiaries has come down from over two crore to just 9 crore in August-November 2022-23. According to the data provided on the PM Kisan portal, the December-March 2022-23 installment of PM Kisan was sent to the accounts of only 8.81 crore farmers. After this 9.53 crore farmers can get 14th installment or April-July installment.
Earlier more than 11 crore farmers were benefiting
The numbers started to decline after the central government implemented eKYC and village-to-village verification of beneficiaries by state governments. Earlier, 11.27 crore farmer families in April-July 2022-23, 11.16 crore in December-March 2021-22, 11.19 crore in August-November 2021-22 and 11.19 crore in April-July 2021-22 also under Kisan Saman. Benefited from the fund scheme.
The government saved 46 thousand crore rupees from the ineligible people
If seen from this perspective, from the eighth to the 11th installment, the central government deposited approximately 89.6 thousand crore rupees in the farmers’ accounts. This includes unqualified people as well. After the austerity, the government released only 35.35 thousand crore rupees through the last 3 installments.
If we are to be given on 15 November Rs. 8000 crores if we add this amount to Rs. 43.35 thousand crores. That is, by preventing fraud in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government will save about 46 thousand crore rupees.
