The daughter of Jaddanbai, a famous courtesan of Banaras, was a famous actress of Hindi cinema. His father was a Hindu, but converted to Abdul Rasheed. The actress still lives in the hearts of the audience due to her films and beauty, but initially she had no desire to enter films. She wanted to focus on serving society by becoming a doctor, but at the insistence of her mother Jaddanbai, she auditioned for director Mehboob Khan. She wanted the director to fail her in the audition, but the director was impressed with her beauty and dialogue delivery and cast her in the film ‘Takdeer’. The actress later became known as a great actress. She was the first Bollywood actress to be honored with the Padma Shri.
