Veteran industrialist Gautam Adani and his family invested in the group’s green energy unit at Rs. 9,350 crore is planned to be invested so that the company can achieve the target of 45 GW capacity by 2030. Adani Green Energy Limited said in the information given to the stock market on Tuesday that the company has Rs. This investment of 9,350 crore will be made for ‘debt repayment and accelerated capital expenditure’. The company, active in the green energy sector, already has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 19.8 GW of capacity and two lakh acres of land (equivalent to over 40 GW of additional capacity) in the resource-rich region.

Approval of regulatory and statutory bodies will also be required for issuance of preferential warrants. Apart from this, shareholders’ approval will also be taken in the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on January 18.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) had earlier announced the establishment of a $1.36 billion construction facility by eight major international banks for a 2,167 MW solar power project at the country’s largest solar park at Khawra in Gujarat.
AGEL announced an equity capital of $1.42 billion.
Apart from this, AGEL announced an equity capital of $1.42 billion ($1.12 billion from promoters’ preferential allotment and $300 million from TotalEnergies JV). This equates to a capital of over three billion dollars.
“This reflects strong interest from long-term investors, strategic partners, financial institutions and banks and demonstrates the promoter’s continued commitment to AGEN’s goals,” the company said in a stock exchange filing.
