World Cup 2023: Bangladesh have received a major blow in the ICC Cricket World Cup in the form of captain Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib Al Hasan was injured on November 6 in the World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka. After the match, an X-ray revealed a fractured left index finger. After this, Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the World Cup 2023, after which the team replaced him with Anamul Haq in the squad. Bangladesh national team physio Baizaidul Islam Khan gave detailed information about the injury. He said, “Shakib injured his left index finger early in his innings but continued to bat with support tape and pain killers. After the game, he underwent an emergency X-ray in Delhi which confirmed a fracture in his left PIP joint. He is expected to recover in three to four weeks. He will leave for Bangladesh today. Let us tell you that Shakib Al Hasan played a winning innings of 82 runs against Sri Lanka in 65 balls with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes.
