Arvind Kejriwal to remain Delhi CM even if arrested, appeals court for ‘work from jail’: AAP

On Monday, Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with the MLAs of the Delhi government. After this meeting, Delhi government minister Atishi announced that Arvind Kejriwal will remain the CM of Delhi even if he is arrested. He said, “We are going among the people, the people themselves have said that Arvind Kejriwal is being persecuted. That is why today all the MLAs have requested the CM that even if he goes to jail, he will remain the CM.” Because the people of Delhi have elected him.

Talking to reporters, Minister Atishi said, “If CM Arvind Kejriwal is sent to jail, we will take the permission of the court and hold the cabinet meeting in the jail itself.” He said that CM Kejriwal said that he will discuss our proposal with the councilors and also seek opinion from Punjab MLAs.

Saurabh Bhardwaj responded to the summons sent to Kejriwal
At the same time, Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj responded to the summons sent by the ED to CM Kejriwal on the liquor policy issue. He said that it was discussed in the meeting that BJP’s biggest problem is with the Aam Aadmi Party.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that all the MLAs present in the meeting told Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, “Even if he is arrested, he will remain the Chief Minister because the people of Delhi have given him the mandate to run the government.”

BJP fears Kejriwal-Bhardwaj
Bhardwaj said, “The way cases have been filed against your MLAs and ministers and the way preparations are being made to arrest CM Arvind Kejriwal, it is clear that the BJP is afraid of him. If the BJP and the Prime Minister are afraid of anyone, if If they are afraid of power, it is Arvind Kejriwal. They want to somehow remove Arvind Kejriwal from power in Delhi. They have realized that if Kejriwal has to be removed from power, BJP cannot remove him by contesting elections. He can be removed by conspiracy.”

Will hold meeting in jail
The AAP minister said, “All these (MLAs) were unanimous that the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are afraid of Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP knows that it cannot remove Kejriwal from power through elections and this can only be done through conspiracies. Bhardwaj said officials will go to jails to hold meetings and “if we are called, we will be happy. .

“Looks like we too will go to jail soon,” he said. So it is possible that Atishi will be kept in Jail No-2 and I will be kept in Jail No-1 and we will hold the cabinet meeting inside the jail itself. We will ensure that the work done for the people of Delhi does not stop.

In a separate case of money laundering, the ED recently raided the residence of Delhi minister Rajkumar Anand. The ED recently arrested party MP Sanjay Singh after an hours-long raid at his residence in connection with the alleged excise policy scam.
