Adani Group acquired Ambuja Cement Limited and ACC Limited last year. Ambuja Cement has six integrated cement manufacturing plants and eight cement grinding units across the country. Along with this, it has an annual cement capacity of 31 million tonnes.

ACC has 17 cement manufacturing units and 85 concrete plants and has an annual cement capacity of 34.4 million tonnes. Adani Group now plans to double annual cement capacity by 2027. After completion of the acquisition in September 2022, EBITDA per tonne of cement will be Rs. 350 to Rs. 1,350 has happened. This will be increased to Rs 1,400 per tonne by 2024.
Current EBITDA margin is around 20 percent, target is to increase it to around 25 percent. The group wants to achieve sales of 120 million tonnes by March 2028, sources said.

September quarter results
Cement maker ACC reported Rs. 384.29 crore reported a stand-alone net profit. While in the same quarter of last financial year, the company had Rs. 91.09 crore was lost. At the same time, Ambuja Cements Ltd’s net profit for the second quarter of the current financial year ending September rose manifold to Rs. 987.24 crores. The profit of the company has increased due to reduction in operating expenses. Ambuja Cements’ total expenses fell by 8.92 percent in the September, 2023 quarter to Rs. 6,564.28 crore as compared to Rs. 7,175.81 crores.
